THE MIRACLE OF WINE IN A VINEYARD EXPOSURE | ||
The territory of the district of Veľký Krtíš disposes of very important wine-growing areas. Vineyards in the areas of Nenince, Čeláre, Vinica, Čebovce, Balog nad Ipľom, Veľké Zlievce, Dolné Plachtince, Stredné Plachtince, Bušince, Príbelce and Modrý Kameň produce exquisite wines, which originate from the varieties of Gewürztraminer, Rhine Riesling, Lemberger, Cabernet Sauvignon, Saint Laurent wine. The history of the wine in Modrý Kameň is also connected with the former owners of the Castle Modrý Kameň, the Balaša family, who traded with the wine. The cultivation of vine belongs to the most stable economic activities in the district. The wines are very popular and they form the basis in the offer of the regional products. The cultivation of the vine ensures the preservation of the wine tradition, creation of new products and development of tourism. Our aim is to provide visitors with the opportunities of gaining basic knowledge about wine processing and wine production as a regional product through the local producer. Engagement of the local craftsman in this project is also connected with this activity, art carver from Modrý Kameň will create a wooden tub for wine and grape juice, which will be necessary during for demonstration of grape processing as a part of an interactive presentation about the way of wine processing and production of grape juice in the wine exhibition. The target group will be the visitors of the museum – the children, the youth, families with children, the adults. | ||
