2024.03.01 THE STORY OF THE CHILDREN OF THE WIND
The exhibition "The Story of the Children of the Wind" was open to the public from 1 March to 15 May 2024 in the museum's exhibition space in the Baroque Hall at Blue Stone Castle. The exhibition was prepared by the Slovak National Museum in Martin – The Museum of Roma Culture in Slovakia. The historical part of the exhibition deals with the most significant milestones in the history of the Roma ethnic group in Slovakia from the 14th century, which is probably the earliest mention of the Roma population in our territory, up to the 1990s.
The first visitors of the exhibition were pupils of the primary school in Modrý Kameň, who, during an interactive presentation by the lecturer Mgr. Adriana Daneková, were introduced to the traditional Roma crafts, ways of living, eating, dressing, Roma music, faith, religion and Roma customs.
