In live craft workshops will be created the toys and the basic components, parts, samples, segments of the puppets and parts of performances – prototypes. The visitors of the museum will be able to easily combine, adjust, connect, paint or finish with textile the presented collectively created parts. The craft workshops will allow the visitors to practically create simple models of wooden, textile and combined toys, as well as simple models of theatre puppets and theatre decorations. The result of their effort will be a created puppet, marionette, glove puppet or even a little family theatre. The visitor will have the opportunity to get to know all the materials and techniques of puppet-making, to create a puppet of their imagination under a supervision of experts, or to make a small performance in their own hand-made theatre scenes and with their own puppets. Our aim is, among other things, to bring a creative day spent together to a family – dad will carve a toy/puppet from wood, children will paint it, connect its parts, glue it together, mum will for example sew a dress for the toy/puppet or decoration to the little family theatre. Mutual help, creation, usage of invention and meaningfully spent time finished by a small theatre performance have a decisive influence on the family, on its emotional, aesthetic and cultural life. We believe that the presented activity will have a positive impact on the visitors of the craft workshops and the Castle Modrý Kameň will become a sought after for meaningful leisure. The target group are the children, the youth (kindergartens, elementary schools, elementary art schools), families with children.
